Joan Fisher

Senior Vice President/Investments

Joan Fisher has experience as a Financial Advisor that spans 30 years and two states. She is devoted to understanding investments, the economy, world markets, and the companies in which she invests. Her investing approach helps clients develop portfolios that accurately address their financial needs and tolerance for risk.

In Montana, Joan participated in the last training class of regional brokerage firm Foster & Marshal. After Shearson Lehman Brothers acquired the firm, she relocated to Portland in 1984 and became a student of Benjamin Graham, the father of value investing. In 1990, she followed the research team to Ragen MacKenzie. As a founding member of the Portland branch, Joan proved to be an invaluable asset to the firm. After 21 years, she followed the research department to join the members of RMG Group to continue practicing their value-investment discipline.

Joan has tutored underprivileged students in the Help One Student To Succeed reading program and was a board member of the Contemporary Crafts Museum in Portland.

Joan and her husband live in downtown Portland with their two dogs. She enjoys walking, reading, exercising, and spending time on Cannon Beach.
